Topics include the Azure Eco system, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS2), MS SQL Server, Azure Synapse, and connecting SAS and CAS to Azure data sources. The course provides practical hands-on exercises to fortify the material.
Learn How To
- Access a SAS-managed Azure environment
- Create a persistence volume and a persistence volume claim to Azure File Share and Blob Storage
- Configure Viya 4 environment for Azure data sources, including Access Key and Access Clients components
- Load sample data to Azure ADLS2 File-share and Blob storage
- Access SAS7BDAT files in SAS Viya SPRE and CAS from Azure File-Share and Blob Storage
- Connect to Azure ADLS2 Storage, MS-SQL, Synapse, and Databricks from SAS and CAS
- Read ORC and Parquet files from ADLS2 storage to SAS and CAS
- Create Azure Synapse dedicated SQL pool
- Read and write data from Azure Synapse dedicated SQL Pool database to SAS and CAS
- Create Azure Synapse serverless SQL pool and Spark Pool
- Load/ingest data/files from ADLS2 storage to Azure Synapse Serverless SQL pool and Spark Pool
- Create Azure Databricks Service with Spark Cluster
- Load/ingest data/files from ADLS2 storage to Databricks Spark Cluster
- Read Spark/Hive table from Azure Databricks to SAS and CAS.
