データサイエンス（DS）人材の不足の中、DSに興味関心がある社会人で、その基礎となる統計学について学びたい方向けに、統計学とはどのような学問で、何故今統計学が必要なのか、統計学の手法（平均値、中央値、クロス集計、有意差、相関係数や回帰分析など）と実務への応用を解説するとともに、統計学の実践として業界の適用事例を紹介します。

Prerequisites
統計に関する知識は必要はありません。また、プログラミングの経験も必要ありません。
Course Outline
はじめに
ーコースの導入として、統計学ってどんな学問なのか、それから関連業界と業務について触れる。データの分類・種類・尺度 調査（リサーチ）、分析（アナリティックス）、それぞれの業務プロセス データを集める
ーデータを集めるための手段や工夫について最低限抑えておきべき調査の基礎を学ぶ。調査設計、母集団と標本抽出、調査方法 調査票、質問形式、データ尺度 データに語らせる
ーデータの特徴とデータの関係性について語るための数値的とグラフィカルな分析方法を学ぶ。平均値・中央値・最頻値、分散・標準偏差 クロス集計表、散布図、相関係数と因果関係 正規分布、推定と標本誤差、信頼区間、有意差検定 棒グラフ、折れ線グラフ、円グラフ、帯グラフ、箱ひげ図 おわりに
ー実務での典型的な思考フレーム、ビジネスにおける統計学の活用テーマと事例について学ぶMECEなどロジカルシンキング、3C, STP, 4Pと4C 顧客分類、施策への反応予測、レコメンデーション、CRM, BPR
